Edmund Burke (12 January 1729 – 9 July 1797) was an Anglo-Irish writer, philosopher, and politician who is widely credited as the founder of the cultural and political philosophy of conservatism. Regarded as one of the most influential conservative thinkers and political writers of the 18th century, Burke spent the majority of his career in Great Britain and was elected as a member of Parliament (MP) from 1766 to 1794 in the House of Commons of Great Britain with the Whig Party. Waarom deze quotes?
Regelmatig kom ik quotes tegen van bekende, minder bekende en (nog) onbekende personen. De quotes zijn krachtig, inspireren of motiveren mijzelf realistischer te kijken in bepaalde situaties op het werk of in het leven. Ik ben ze digitaal gaan verzamelen/bundelen omdat het veel makkelijker is om ze met anderen te delen en terug te lezen. Op dit moment bestaat de verzameling uit een groot aantal unieke quotes en wordt er zo nu en dan nog een toegevoegd. I regularly come across quotes from well-known, less-known and (still) unknown people. The quotes are powerful, inspire or motivate me to look more realistically at certain situations at work or in life. I started to compile them digitally because it is much easier to share and read them with others. At the moment the collection consists of a large number of unique quotes and one is added every now and then.
