„The past is now part of my future. The present is well out of hand.”
-Ian Curtis
Ian Kevin Curtis (15 July 1956 – 18 May 1980) was an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was best known as the lead singer, lyricist and occasional guitarist of the post-punk band Joy Division, with whom he released the albums Unknown Pleasures (1979) and Closer (1980). He was noted for his unique dancing style influenced by his experiences with epilepsy, as well as his dark baritone voice. Retrospectively viewed as "one of the finest songwriters of a generation," his intensely introspective and dark lyricism has provoked "visceral and raw emotions" among fans. He was also noted for his distinct on-stage behaviour. more at Wikipedia

Why these quotes?
Why these quotes?
I regularly come across quotes from well-known, less-known and (still) unknown people. The quotes are powerful, inspire or motivate me to look more realistically at certain situations at work or in life. I started to compile them digitally because it is much easier to share and read them with others. At the moment the collection consists of a large number of unique quotes and one is added every now and then. If you have found an inaccuracy or would like to share a quote with me, please let me know!
