Samuel Moore Walton (March 29, 1918 – April 5, 1992) was an American business magnate best known for founding the retailers Walmart and Sam's Club, which he started in Rogers, Arkansas and Midwest City, Oklahoma in 1962 and 1983 respectively. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. grew to be the world's largest corporation by revenue as well as the biggest private employer in the world. For a period of time, Walton was the richest person in the United States. His family has remained the richest family in the U.S. for several consecutive years, with a net worth of around US$240.6 billion as of January 2022. In 1992 at the age of 74, Walton died of blood cancer and was laid to rest at the Bentonville Cemetery in his longtime home of Bentonville, Arkansas. more at Wikipedia

Regelmatig kom ik quotes tegen van bekende, minder bekende en (nog) onbekende personen. De quotes zijn krachtig, inspireren of motiveren mijzelf realistischer te kijken in bepaalde situaties op het werk of in het leven. Ik ben ze digitaal gaan verzamelen/bundelen omdat het veel makkelijker is om ze met anderen te delen en terug te lezen. Op dit moment bestaat de verzameling uit een groot aantal unieke quotes en wordt er zo nu en dan nog een toegevoegd. I regularly come across quotes from well-known, less-known and (still) unknown people. The quotes are powerful, inspire or motivate me to look more realistically at certain situations at work or in life. I started to compile them digitally because it is much easier to share and read them with others. At the moment the collection consists of a large number of unique quotes and one is added every now and then.
