The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 American prison drama film written and directed by Frank Darabont, based on the 1982 Stephen King novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption. The film tells the story of banker Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), who is sentenced to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary for the murders of his wife and her lover, despite his claims of innocence. Over the following two decades, he befriends a fellow prisoner, contraband smuggler Ellis "Red" Redding (Morgan Freeman), and becomes instrumental in a money laundering operation led by the prison warden Samuel Norton (Bob Gunton). Regelmatig kom ik quotes tegen van bekende, minder bekende en (nog) onbekende personen. De quotes zijn krachtig, inspireren of motiveren mijzelf realistischer te kijken in bepaalde situaties op het werk of in het leven. Ik ben ze digitaal gaan verzamelen/bundelen omdat het veel makkelijker is om ze met anderen te delen en terug te lezen. Op dit moment bestaat de verzameling uit een groot aantal unieke quotes en wordt er zo nu en dan nog een toegevoegd. The quotes are powerful, inspire or motivate me to look more realistically at certain situations at work or in life. I started to compile them digitally because it is much easier to share and read them with others. At the moment the collection consists of a large number of unique quotes and one is added every now and then.
